How well does the SSN match the Prophecy in Revelations?
- Rev. 13:16-17 "He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name."
When it says "buy or sell" that does not mean going down to the store and buying milk. During those times "buy and sell" was just how peole earned a living. So it's saying without this number you can't earn a living. (See 42 US 666 (all the occupational licenses) and the cases that site it if you need more information.) People carry their SSN in their heads or (memory) in the hand (the card.) Yes, they could also put a chip inside everyone, but what data will be on the chip? Certainly the SSN will be in that record. So whether it's in a chip or card or memory, it'll be the number that is in the head or hand. The vessel or method is irrelevent. It also indicates all people will be forced to accept this number (well all except those who refuse it.) Some peole think the SSN only applies to the United States. This is not true. There is an International Social Security Association and 192 countries participate.
- Rev. 13:18 "If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. The number is 666."
There is more to this than you may first understand. Note it says it's "man's number." That does not mean the number of a man as is often misquoted. It means a number created by mankind. Just like civil government was created by mankind, so too was the Social Security System created by civil government to "provide for the needs of the people" at the request of the people. To see this clearly, see Rev. 17:15 "Then the angel said to me, "The waters you saw, [remember the beast came from the waters, Rev. 13:1 "And I saw a beast coming out of the sea."] are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages." So the beast is a system created by the people. That system is codified into law by a civil government elected by the people and found at 42 US 666.
To recap; the number is needed to earn a living; the number comes from (created by) mankind; the number is used to identify; the number is associated with 666. The Social Security Number matches every one of these tenents.
